CINE-RENCONTRE with Pedro Serrazina

MASTERCLASS with the screenwriter and director

4/15/2026

The Campus Georges Méliès – Cannes Bastide Rouge, La Napoule Art Foundation, and SERENA Productions are pleased to invite the public to an exceptional MASTERCLASS with Pedro Serrazina, on Monday, April 20th, 2026, at 1:00 p.m at the Campus Georges Méliès.

Pedro Serrazina is a Portuguese professor, researcher, and animation film director, who was a screenwriting resident at the first edition of CASA CINE in 2023. Since his debut film, The Story of the Cat and the Moon, which was screened in competition at the Festival de Cannes, he has directed more than a dozen short films, including The Eyes of the Lighthouse, which has won awards at numerous international festivals. His work also includes workshops, publications, academic projects, installations, and numerous music videos. His latest animated film, Shadows of Ourselves, premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and has just received the Jury Prize at the MONSTRA International Animation Film Festival.

In this masterclass, Pedro Serrazina explores how animated spaces become places where meaning, memory, and identity are constructed, challenging our view of the world while offering ways to bring unique narratives to light.

This initiative is part of the FICCTION project, led by the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d’Excellence Industries Culturelles et Créatives Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and supported under the “Skills and Jobs of the Future” call for proposals of the France 2030 program, administered by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations, the Banque des Territoires, and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

Don't miss out on this exceptional encounter!
